Senior dancing butoh

Between September and December 2013 unusual workshops in Japanese dance Senior dancing butoh were held in Gdansk, Poland. The project involved only people over 60 and was brought up to life thanks to the Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art and "Let's art" project. The workshops were created by butoh dancer and choreographer TO-EN. During 3 months, particpants were introduced to the Japanese butoh dance technique as well as took part in costume and scenography production. Everything under the tutelage of great art personalities - oluhi and Joanna Dabrowska.

 

The project ended up with a group performance Hidden by the leaves, directed by TO-EN.
